Wasabi Edamame Hummus

Wasabi Edamame Hummus is a spicy, healthy update on classic hummus! Instead of chickpeas, we use cream edamame, plenty of sesame oil, and wasabi paste for a kick of heat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chickpeas, rinsed
  • 1 1/2 cups shelled edamame
  • 3/4 tsp wasabi paste
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Add chickpeas, edamame, wasabi, tahini, lemon juice, garlic and salt to the bottom of a food processor. Pulse until smooth. 
  • With the mixer on, slowly drizzle in sesame oil and olive oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper and process one more time. Serve with sliced peppers, snow peas and carrots.
