Last Minute Easter Rice Krispie Treats

Needing a last minute treat for your Easter basket this year? Look no further than these Easter themed Rice Krispie Treats made with peeps and festively colored M&M’s. Inspired by these unique Rice Krispie treats I found on Pinterest. After drooling over them for the better part of an hour, the idea to create an Easter/Spring Rice Krispie treat popped into my head

Wrap these guys up in clear cellophane and a pretty pastel bow and stick in your kids Easter baskets – but make sure you have enough to snack on yourself – these guys are addictive.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Ingredients
  • 13 jumbo marshmallows
  • 22 purple bunny peeps (about two packages)
  • 2 ½ tablespoons butter
  • 5 ½ cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • ½ cup M&M’s
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in a large microwave proof bowl. Add marshmallows and toss to coat. Microwave another minute and half. Stir mixture until marshmallows are melted. Add cereal. Stir until combined. Add M&M’s once the mixture has cooled slightly. Spread into a greased 9X12 pan. Let cool. Cute and serve.
