You may have noticed a little change around here…the blog’s gotten a little makeover!
When I first started this blog I had NO idea what I was doing, I just kind of decided to start it on a whim and never looked back. Since I knew absolutely nothing about web design, word press and all that fun stuff, I knew I needed to hire a designer to do the work for me – which can cost a pretty penny. After months and months of research I finally found a designer I knew was super creative, but wasn’t going to charge me an arm and a leg for a great blog design – Kaye from Squeesome Designs.
When Kaye showed me the finished site, I was in love, and since I had no quality pictures in my portfolio yet, she used gorgeous pictures she already had in her arsenal. While the picture header was great for the first year, I started to realize that I didn’t really want photos on my site that weren’t taken myself. Soo fast forward to when I got married this summer, my wedding colors were cream and gold with a pop of blush – I completely fell in love with the color palette and knew I wanted to carry that over to my new blog design. Of course, I knew I’d be in great hands again with Kaye, so I told her what I wanted: a fuss-free design that focused on the pictures, was feminine (I’m the ultimate girly girl) and included my wedding color palate. I couldn’t be happier with what she came up with – isn’t she pretty?!
I went ahead and updated/added my “featured in,” “blog roll” and “about me” pages. I read over 50 different blogs regularly, so maybe I can introduce you to a blog you’ve never heard of, and I guess technically I’m no longer a “novice photographer and blogger” although I’m still learning more and more every single day, so it’s more like a seasoned novice. Ha!
Hope you enjoy the new look! Have a fabulous weekend!
