Happy New Year’s Eve friends!
2012 has been full of wonderful blessings and exciting new endeavors for friends, family, and myself. Kevin and I got engaged, bought our first home, took our first big vacation, and tackled our first re-model together (and didn’t kill each other) with the help of our friend and my wonderful father. My best friend got married, and one of my other best friends is expecting her first baby.We welcomed Kevin’s and my soon-to-be nephew Will into the world and were able to see lots of our family from out of town throughout the year. My brother got his first grown-up job after college (Yay Sean!) I started this wonderful little food blogging hobby of mine and couldn’t be happier that I did. Most importantly everyone we love got through 2012 happy and healthy. Yep, I’d say 2012 has been a good year. Bring on 2013!
Even though I’ve only been at this food blogging thing for a limited amount of time, (about seven months) I thought I’d share some of my favorite and your favorite posts on Cooking for Keeps to end the last day of the year. So here we go!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup : A good-for-the-soul soup to keep you warm even the coldest of days.

Pepper Jack Bites with Sirracha Ranch Dipping Sauce :Spicy bites of cheese breaded in panko, and served with a spicy, tangy dipping sauce. By far the most popular post of the blog this year — people LOVE fried cheese.
:Mini Frittatas with Canadian Bacon, Roasted Red Peppers, and Goat Cheese An easy breakfast or brunch dish that screams elegance.
Brandied French Toast with Apple Brandy Compote : Decadent challah is soaked in brandy, pan fried, and served with a homemade brandy laced apple compote.
Avocado Egg Rolls :The very first post of Cooking for Keeps — Creamy avocado, red onion, and sun-dried tomatoes are folded into a wonton wrapper, fried and served with a yummy sweet and sour dipping sauce. Yum yum yum.
